Welcome to the Finance homepage of the Foundation's Fiscal Development Services!

Please keep these dates in mind, for submitting FY08 expenses to UH Foundation. Also please remind your units of these deadlines.

July 15, for any size expense for FY08.
July 16 - 31 for expenses greater than 10,000 to get included in FY08.
August and later, by exception only.

Please note any "FY08" expense as FY08 in the secondary reference. Please do your best to submit those invoices in for payment within the next two weeks, ORS agreement payments included.

Fiscal and Development departments consists of Fiscal, Data Processing, and Information Technology. We help facilitate and enhance fundraising for the University System by providing the following services:

 Investment Management
Bill King, Vice President for Administration/CFO
  • Manage $180+ million endowment for prudent growth.
  • Manage investments related to planned giving, including charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trust.
Fiscal Services
Ana Garcia, Controller
  • Administer and manage funds from gifts for units and campuses.
  • Establish new accounts and maintain more than 5,000 separate donor accounts for UH.
  • Process more than 26,000 account service requests annually.
  • Provide online account status via IFAS, the Foundation's accounting system.
  • Review account disbursements to ensure they match donor designations.
Gift/Data Processing
Jere Nakamura, Gift and Data Processing Manager
  • Record, receipt and manage more than 38,000 gifts annually.
  • Process gifts via check, credit card, cash, real estate, stocks and bonds and more.
Database and Reporting
John Han, Director of Data and Technology Services
  • Maintain central database with records and giving histories for more than 330,000 donors, prospective donors and alumni.
  • Generate reports for authorized system and campus users.
  • Maintain mailing lists and service 150 mailing list requests annually.
