Local Law Firm Funding Excellence
UH Mānoa’s William S. Richardson School of Law alumni and Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher law firm
associates and partners presented a check for $100,000 to establish the Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher
Fund for Excellence which will provide scholarships for law students, sponsorship of the moot court program,
and support for the Law School’s Real Property Lecture Series.

Throughout his time as a student at UH Hilo from 1977-1980, Ron Terry pulled weeds at anthurium farms to
pay his tuition. As the first member of his family to go to college, he appreciated attending a smaller
school, even staying for a time in the home of a faculty member.

has awarded two $75,000 grants to help expand the number of health care workers on the Neighbor Islands. The funds
